The magnificent Villa Bardini with its monumental garden and its panorama of Florence, hosted the Dolce Gabbana Alta Moda fashion show.

Received in concession following the inheritance of antiquarian Stefano Bardini, Fondazione CR Firenze restored the marvellous space filled with statues and artistic and architectonic artifacts, rich with history and beauty.

The perfect backdrop for an event that celebrates the values of Made in Italy and Fatto a Mano, in the city of craftsmanship and the Renaissance.

The double organza and tulle corset dress features hand-painted images of Florence.

The intarsia looks featuring motifs of the city’s most famous views include an embroidered coat, skirt and kaftan, composed of materials such as satin, Lurex brocade moiré faille, sequins and crystals.

“The Women’s Alta Moda collection is dedicated to Italian holidays, with very deconstructed looks. We created pieces with foulards, we created kimonos that seem like swimsuits coverups…” – said Stefano Gabbana.

“We enjoyed creating a selection of foulards inspired by the Italian holidays of the 50s and 60s, when people would buy them from the different cities as a souvenir to remember afterwards, even when you are far away, all the things you tried, ate, dreamed. This way, each creation becomes a travel journal,” – said Domenico Dolce.

Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian luxury fashion house founded in 1985 in Legnano by Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. For the 25 years Dolce & Gabbana created outstanding classic Italian elegant looks.

From 2009 Dolce & Gabbana brought pop culture and ultra creative designs in their collections. These collections became their identity.

These collections represent ultimate luxury designs. And this is another collection when woman of Dolce & Gabbana was wearing a crown, as a symbol of holiness, pure spirit, superiority, royalty, and absolute perfection. And this perfect woman should be decorated with all riches, flowers and angels, as a cathedral. These collections are ultimate tribute to a woman.

This collection of “Saints and Sinners” of fashion paradise is indeed one of a kind. And for the first time Dolce & Gabbana along with classic and classy pieces showed sporty street chic bombers, sport pants, boonies with fantastic embroideries and angels. But what is more unique of all all these pieces had fantastic resemblance with clerical clothing: funny boonies looked like miter, bombers like caplet or cloak, and bags like brass incense burner. Dolce &Gabbana filled streets of their fashion heaven with many magic holly creatures. They eve.n created couple of magic horses and zebras for this fashion royal paradise. They created their own Dolce & Gabbana Bestiary for this Fall-Winter 2018-2019 season.
